Capital One Bowl

Postby GatorTAG » Mon Nov 05, 2012 5:57 pm

That's where Phil Steele has us projected to go. Against Wisconsin. Why would he have LSU with 2 losses playing Texas in Cotton Bowl? Is that a lower bowl than the Capital One bowl now?

Why do we always get stuck playing these Big10 teams. It's worse than watching paint dry.:puke2:

LSU travels well to a place like Dallas. It's not too far, people there "know" the corn-doggies (they're neighbors, after all, and the corn dog is the "national" food of the Texas State Fair), their behavior won't offend people in Texas nearly as much as it will offend people in Tampa, and the girls at Mons won't need to take a shower after every lap dance...Need any other "reasons?"

Okay, so we won't have to outscore them.

No way Georgia goes to Sugar after getting curb stomped by Bama if we are still a one loss team.

CBS Sports has us playing Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl. Because after Nick Satan and his Tide roll over the Puppies, there won't be much left of them to play in any bowl. Well, there will be some, and according to CBS Sports, they will take their two losses to Orlando to play Meechigan in the Capital One Bowl.

ESPN, however has us in either the Outback or the Capital One. Maybe b/c they want our football audience. ESPN has two pickers - Schlabach has LSU as the SEC team, which makes sense, and Edwards has SOS and his 'Cocks, which makes NO sense.

If UF beats FSU we are in a BCS Bowl. If we don't win, UF would prefer to play in florida anyway.

So the OP would rather us travel to Texas than play a bowl game in our home state?

If we beat FSU, I agree we end up in the Sugar. UGA is only ranked one spot ahead of us and they likely get ass-raped by Bama....so they'd drop behind us in the polls, their fans start saying that "Richt isn't the right guy for the job..." and we play in New Orleans! We lose to FSU? Well, UGA probably gets that spot in the Sugar...or the SEC only gets one team in a BCS bowl.

Honestly, I'm not that excited about nawlins these days.

I'd rather go to the Cotton Bowl for once.

I would rather play Texas than Wisconsin. That's all. Can't stand getting stuck playing second rate Big10 schools every year. It seems like over the past 10 years we've played a Big10 school every year except Okalahoma in the 2008 MNC.

Good Grief....there are more bowl games than games on a Saturday during the regular season!...and they all mean NOTHING! Let us pray for a playoff system that is actually relevant!

After watching the Missouri game, we should be focusing on getting past the Ragin' Cajun's this Saturday - seriously.
I don't know the spread at this point, but I'd be very tempted to take the Cajun's if it's anything over 20.
