Professional Athletes Returning
Just out of curiousity, has anyone heard or seen any of the Ex-Gators that turned pro on the sidelines of any games? Just curious if Muschamp has continued to encourage ex-Gators to return for games and speak with current players like Meyer used to. It annoys me to read the article about Tebow now liking Ohio State just because of Meyer.....when was the last time he visited Gainesville? It would be nice to have any of the explayers - especially ones that played at positions that we are struggling at this year to return and speak with the players, maybe offer some advice, etc. This also goes a long way for prospective recruits to see and meet these pros on their visits.
I brought this up after watching the Alabama/LSU game last night. Alabama had a few pro players on their sideline and while I do not watch all their games the few I do get to see I notice the same thing.

I only saw Mark Ingram, and that is because is is a horrible, out of shape and overweight professional football player and his team probably doesn't care if he even shows up to their Monday night game.

yeah, that dude is a dud... slow, no real athletic ability. Basically plays like a fullback but isnt big enough to actually be one. And, as crazy as it is to say b/c he was a Saban kid... is freaking lazy. Saints will cut or trade him soon. He barely even sees the field anymore, and when he does you can rest assured he does something that make the announcers question what is going on with him. another heistman dud.

Mike Pouncey from the Fins was here. Don't know of any others but there were probably a few. This is not as big an issue to Boom as it was to Meyer IMO. I think with Boom coaching in the NFL, I don't believe it has as much meaning to him. I certainly could be wrong though
Also, with the change in Sun Sports only using other networks crews and not their own, how would we even know if the network announcers don't know who they are?

Saw Alex Brown outside the stadium by the Heisman statues after the game. Still a VERY large man.

I've seen Demps, David Nelson, Ahmad Black, Tate Casey, Carl Johnson, and Kestahn Moore on the sidelines this year. I thought Tebow might have showed up yesterday since the Jets had a bye but didn't see him.

I'm sure who ever wants to come they can. Tebow not being there is kinda odd, I would have thought he would try to make back.

Can you imagine the circus that would follow him all around the stadium? Talk about a distraction.

Maybe he's not thrilled with the offensive production. Pun intended.

Re: Professional Athletes Returning
The last I understood it, Tebow has more of a relationship with Meyer and Mariotti than Muschamp and Dillman, so I can understand him going to Ohio State when he has a chance.
I suspect most of our former players in the NFL wouldn't come back unless their team had a bye week.

May I respectfully axe what does OTPHJ mean?

No insult intended, but would you expect a Georgia alum to feel
the magnetism of Florida alums... okay, theoretically he might.
Besides, & this is fine, Muschamp ain't a glad-hand host any gameday.
