Not a surprise and probably deserved, but I am a bit saddened as I grew up 20 minutes from Joker and have known him for the better part of my life and competed against him in athletics for a couple of years. He is a standup guy and a good man but just did not show results as head coach.He was a great high school QB and Bear Bryant came to recruit him as an option QB but Joker decided to go to UK and become a WR and then had a cup of coffee in the NFL. I am guessing that Joker will land a WR coaching position somewhere and be fine.

As to who the bball loving fans will get all depends on the boosters. If they care about football they will pay big money for a big name else they get a guy from a smaller school who has show an ability to win on that lower level.
