Our "fans" are disappointing
It was disheartening and deflating to see the crap crowd we had on hand today. Obviously in our new twitter youth, they lose interest quickly. I never thought I would say this, but it might be time to take some student tix away.
We have no right ragging on the noles and canes and their pathetic crowds. We showed that we are not much different. Sad.

Some people have been complaining about the crappy opponents for years now, saying it will bit us in the ass. Chickens are coming home.

The fact of the matter is that this team isn't very entertaining to watch. In fact, they're painful to watch on offense. When Pease and co. start averaging more than one TD per game, I predict attendance will respond accordingly.

Who cares about "entertaining to watch". That's what I mean, the team is 7-1 playing an sec team to stay in the hunt for the sec east and the crowd is flat.
Trust me there were large swaths of empty seats at kick off on the student side. I have an excellent view from the champions club.

I live in G'ville and went to one game this year. No offense but I have things to do on my days off. But I do try to catch a game or two each year.

they need to rethink the student ticket situation. Since you now need a student ID those tickets are not being used
They are also losing the middle tier ticket holder by over placating to the Bull Gator type. If we happened to have made it to the SeC Championship the middle tier ticket holder would get zero tickets the Bullgator 10. So the middle tier guy gets used to watching the big game at home. Then it slowly carries over.

Pat Dooley said that Gator fans take a win harder than any other fans out there.

I was there and was actually surprised we filled the place up for the most part. Given the ridiculous 12:00 kick it was pretty full coming off an incredibly disappointing loss to UGA. I was more concerned with our lack of OL play.
I thought Mizzou fans traveled well. They had a pretty good crowd...wish we would have given them a dose of the rockin' Swamp though.

I think they need to re-think the tickets being $500 per.

Class warfare stuff is stupid too. The program is made by the money given by the top line donors. The UAA has to get a little smarter about expanding the base though. it's a catch 22.
Bottom line is the students are not showing up. they need non students to have access to more affordable tickets. Maybe tickets are overpriced.

Apparently a lot of people do judging by the attendance. Not many people are going to get up early on a Saturday for 14-7. Sorry, pal, just not realistic. Sports is after all entertainment. I know that hurts your orange and blue ears to hear that, but it's reality.
Why go to all the trouble to attend the game to watch that offense when you can sit at home in the comfort of your easy chair with the beer of your choice and watch 14-7.
