Isn't there a bar where everyone hangs out? And what else is there to do?

I take it it's your first time? It's on University just about 2 blocks east of the stadium.

Don't freakin' lollygag looking at crap while driving or I will deliberately honk the horn and vigorously display my middle finger at your person.
My, you're pretty after the third bottle.

That's not a real question is it? It's a College town students prefer to ride bikes than to walk everywhere. If your looking for cheap to eat I recommend the Pizza by the slice just down from the Swamp House restaurant on University, you have to get it togo. Unless that bar that it is attached to serves inside.
Sorry but haven't done a bar in 20 years in Gainesville, prior to children but wait they are for the most part closed. Stick with the above names for drinking. Have a great time. Go Gators

If you're looking for a better sit-down place to eat go to Ballyhoo's. Don't forget the Banana's Foster for dessert. The outside bar/patio area isn't too bad on a cooler afternoon/evening either.

You come to Gainesville and don't go to the game?

Find your dad a sorority girl into older guys and watch the game at her place.

:confused2: Matthew has the best ideas, not so sure some are legal though and you won't know unless you try.
