I believe that's the first facial hair worn by a Florida coach since Galen Hall's mustache in the 80's...

He came back from spring break with a goatee, for those that don't know.

People will have different opinions on this sort of thing, but I find it unprofessional. Mr. Steinbrenner didn't allow the Yankees to sport facial hair at all. And although not explicitly banned on Wall Street, many of the more venerable firms would look at you askance if you showed up wearing a goatee.

Then again, what should we expect from a guy that refuses to wear socks?

I have the only rational opinion, unless it prevents him from coaching or winning I don't care.  I have questioned his attire on camera but also who cares, it should be nobody.  But then again LOF is pretty close to that.

Dating back to 1990, I can't recall any coaches who won with facial hair?

Bill McCartney? No

Dennis Erickson? No

Gene Stallings? No

Bobby Bowden? No

Tom Osbourne? No

Steve Spurrier? No

Lloyd Carr? No

Phil Fulmer? No

Bob Stoops? No

Larry Coker? No

Jim Tressel? No

Nick Saban? No

Pete Carroll? No

Mack Brown? No

Urban Meyer? No

Les Miles? No

Gene Chizik? No

Jimbo Fisher? No

Dabo Swinney? No

Much like the most successful businessmen, most successful coaches eschew tacky facial hair.

It would be nice if our hayseed coach would shave, put on a pair of socks, and realize he's the face of a multi-million dollar organization...

As usual correlation does not indicate causality, and he is not the face of our athletic department, far from that.

You have your opinion and of course it means very little to anybody other than yourself.  How about you email him and his boss with your observations if you really believe that it makes any difference.

Go for it, if you dare.

Lacie is jealous she can't grow facial hair.

It's not your team, in any case, we don't care if you like it or not!
